This was a wonderful science fiction mystery book, here’s a brief summary. It’s a story about friendship. Miranda and Sal are unpopular. They only have each other. Sal gets punched by a boy for no reason when they were walking home. Sal ends the friendship with Miranda because he needs more friends that are boys. They both make different friends. Miranda finds a note that said she needs to help save her friends life. She then receives more notes that detail how she needs to save her friend. She solves a mystery and figures out that the friend she needs to help is Sal, and she does help to save him. Sal and Miranda make up in the end, but they both have some new friends!
I would recommend this story because it is about friendship. I personally liked the story because of the hilarious characters. I even enjoyed the personalities of some of the smaller characters. I think my friends would enjoy the funny characters and their personalities like the very particular Julia who needs things just so. i also liked the setting of the story, New York City. i thought the city setting was charming because she described it so well. This story includes some time travel, and was very intriguing. This was a fabulous book!
