Join Julia Newman, author of The Loose Lip Brigade, and the blog Feed Me Daily, for a reading and talk in the Sohier Room of the Beverly Public Library on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 3:30 PM. The Loose Lip Brigade is Julia’s first collection of short stories that delve into themes of human impulse and surprise. Julia will also talk a bit about what it’s like to be an online author, including blogging, self publishing, and the Kickstarter funding platform.
Julia has pursued careers in yoga dance instruction, improv comedy, and film-making – most notably working with Lena Dunham of HBO’s “Girls.” Her fiction has been published online at Every Writers Resource and she writes as a contributing author at OutInTheCity Online. Her website, Feed Me Daily has gained wide popularity as one of the most honest, well-written blogs about women and their relationship with food and body.
The reading is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served, and copies of Julia’s book will be available for purchase. For more information, please contact the library at 978-921-6062 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
