Owl at the Library

image of owl presentation
On July 9th, the Children’s Room hosted an excellent program by Heidi Wejman from the educational non-profit Windows on Wildlife. Heidi brought a handsome barred owl named Jasper with her along with a full audio and visual presentation on the Life Cycle of Raptors. We compared the size and colors of different species of birds’ eggs. We touched a soft baby eagle feather and a stiff adult eagle feather. And we saw how big an eagle’s nest is. Thank you very much Heidi and Jasper for teaching us about raptors.
