The public is invited to get a close-up look at our fabulous new Bookmobile, which rolled into town in mid-June, at Beverly Homecoming “Senior Day” festivities this Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Lynch Park. The Bookmobile will be at the park from 10 AM – 3 PM along with our wonderful Bookmobile librarian, Linda Caravaggio. Hop on board and check out the beautiful new shelving and carpet, checkout station, and of course, all the great materials Linda offers on her stops around Beverly. Visitors will be able to check out books, and receive a free Frisbee with the library’s contact information on it!
The Beverly Public Library has provided Bookmobile service to the Beverly community since 1952. The new vehicle was purchased entirely from private donations raised between 2007 and 2010, and was built by Maroney Specialty Vehicles of Worcester, Mass. Its logo was designed by Brian Murphy of Brian Murphy Design, Beverly. For more information about the Bookmobile or the Senior Day visit, please call the library at 978-921-6062.
