stars and planetsAstronomy Club is for children in grades 1 through 5 who are interested in outer space and the United States Space Program. We will meet in the Children’s Room of the main library on the first Wednesday of each month, from 3:15 to 4:15 PM, October through May. A different space-related topic will be explored at each meeting. We will do science experiments, use a telescope, design a moon base for astronauts to live in and welcome occasional guest speakers. Children do not need to attend every meeting to be a club member and can join at any time simply by attending one of the meetings. The Library thanks NASA and the Lunar and Planetary Institute for providing many of the materials we will be using.
