Be sure to look for flyers at school, in the library or in the mail/in your inbox if you’re signed up for our mailing list. To be added to the teen mailing list you can contact Liz in person or via email at emanning@noblenet.org.
Do you like watching animé? Do you want to hang out with other people who do, too? Then join us on the third Tuesday of each month from 3:30 to 5:30 PM in the main library’s Sohier Room for our monthly Animé Club meetings. We watch a Japanese animation DVD, eat some snacks, and all we ask you to do (besides showing up!) is to fill out a short survey about the DVD we’ve shown that day. Funimation will send us free animé DVDs for the club to view if we fill out the surveys and send them back – a pretty cool deal! You can come to just one meeting, to some, or to all of them and you don’t need to sign up. All teens aged 10-18 are welcome. Our next meeting is on Tuesday, October 20, 2009.

Visit the Digital Bookmobile, an immersive download experience inside a 74-foot, high-tech tractor-trailer, on Monday, September 14 from 10 AM to 4 PM on Essex Street in front of the main library.
Readers of all ages are invited to explore digital downloading through interactive demonstrations and experience the North Of Boston Library Exchange’s (NOBLE) audiobook download service at this free event. Library card holders can also check out and download digital titles any time, anywhere by visiting NOBLE’s downloadable audiobook collection.
The Digital Bookmobile is a service of NOBLE, of which the Beverly Public Library is a member, and is operated by OverDrive, Inc. All users of NOBLE libraries are welcome.
The Beverly Public Library is pleased to announce the launching of its book review blog. You can search for books by title, author, subject or genre. And if you’d like to contribute reviews of your own, please contact Theresa at 978-921-6062 or bev@noblenet.org.
