Man in Headphones Users of our collection of e-audiobooks from OverDrive know that some of the titles work with iPod® and some do not. Now almost all of the titles will play on an iPhone™ and the iPod®. Just upgrade your OverDrive Media Console™ and in just a few clicks, send audiobooks to your Windows-formatted iPod using the built-in Transfer Wizard! The ‘Plays on’ icons at this site indicate whether titles are compatible with Apple® devices.

Does this mean that ipods that talk to Macintosh machines are not supported by this new feature?

Yes, that is correct. Apple devices are not designed to deal with Windows Digital Rights Management (DRM), and the Mac client is still limited to
working with the MP3 files. So nothing has improved for Mac users, but OverDrive is making progress and that the publishers are loosening up their
restrictions so keep checking back for improved service. You can also use the download station at the main library to add titles to your iPod.
